Thom Thompson is a freelance photographer located in Wilmington, DE. Thom graduated from the University of Delaware in 1992 with a degree in Geography and Photography. His photographic career began with an internship in the commercial studio of Floyd Dean, Inc. Thom then became photographer for the University of Delaware Art History Department. In 1995 the opportunity to work as the studio manager for Image Source, Inc. was offered to him. He spent four and a half years working with his mentor, architectural photographer John Jenkins. In 2000 Thom started his own company, Thom Thompson Photography.
For the past five years, Thom has photographed an array of different subjects and worked for a variety of clients. Some of his recent clients are: Glaxo Smith Kline, MBNA America, QVC, DuPont , and Delaware Today Magazine.
Thom has the ability to communicate very well with all types of people which allows him to comfortably photograph subjects ranging from high profile CEO's to everyday people. He has a strong eye for detail and consistently strives for perfection. This is very apparent in all of his work, particularly in still life and architecture. Thom has a passion for the dining experience. This has helped him to create unique and interesting photographs of food and drink.
